Username generator

A different username or email address for each website makes it harder to link your accounts and easier to spot who leaked your address.

This tool runs in your browser and needs JavaScript. Turn JavaScript on to use it.

Type

Three ways to make a username

  • Random word: a word with an optional number, for sites where your username is public.
  • Plus address: [email protected]. Many email services deliver it to [email protected], and you can filter or block it later.
  • Catch-all: a random address at a domain you own whose mailbox accepts every address.

Why bother?

If every site has your one email address, a breach at any of them tells attackers where to aim. Unique addresses limit the damage and show you which service leaked or sold yours.

Never make up a password again

KeyCare Pass makes strong passwords, remembers them and fills them in for you.

Frequently asked questions

Does every email service support plus addressing?

Many do, but not all. Send yourself a test message first.

Will KeyCare Pass create email aliases for me?

Email aliases (email masking) are being built for KeyCare Pass and are not available yet. The generator in KeyCare Pass already makes plus addresses and catch-all addresses.
