KeyGuard Password is now KeyCare Pass. Same vault, same account, a new name and address.

Two-step login codes, built in

Add a website's authenticator key to its login, and KeyCare Pass shows the six-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. Every plan includes it.

Two-step login only helps if people turn it on. Make it effortless, and they will.

How it works

Paste the setup key

When a website shows the setup key for its two-step login, add it to the login's authenticator key field.

See the code

The code and a countdown appear in the login, in the web vault and in the extension.

Copy it after autofill

Optionally, KeyCare Pass copies the code to the clipboard as it fills the password, ready for the next screen.

Good to know

  • Shared logins can share their authenticator codes too, through a collection
  • The inactive two-step login report lists sites where you could turn two-step login on
  • Protect KeyCare Pass itself with a separate method, such as a security key or another authenticator app

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to keep the code and the password in one place?

It removes the protection a separate device gives against someone who has your vault. It still stops attackers who only have your password, such as from a breach or a phishing page. For your most important accounts, a passkey or security key is stronger still.

Which plans include authenticator codes?

Every plan: Premium, Families, Teams and Enterprise. See pricing.
